My Journey into Tarot: Getting to Know Me & My Tarot Practice

Tarot has been a guiding light on my journey of self discovery and spiritual connection. My spiritual bestie Ericka (professionally known as AuntieSpirit1111) has long been into Tarot and was always telling me how she enjoyed the cards. She suggested to me a few times to try it out and I always thought I would have a hard time connecting to allllll those cards. I couldn't wrap my head around learning all 78 cards in the Rider Waite Tarot deck. There are so many meanings and reversed meanings and pieces of the cards. She kept encouraging me to give it a go and just see what happens. Her advice also was to trust myself and lean into the feelings of connecting with the cards which I am also forever learning to do...trust myself that is.
I had purchased my first Tarot deck in 2014, that's how long I truly had been putting this off. I skimmed through them and felt so overwhelmed at the thought of getting to know the cards. Fast forward to present day, it turns out that it wasn't the cards that I was afraid of getting to know, it was the idea of getting to know myself! On any type of spiritual journey you really have to dive deep into a big stage of personal growth and development. I don't care who you are, if you feel like the most healed human ever, personal growth and development makes you a better spiritual practitioner. There is always room to grow!
A few years after my journey began growing my mediumship I felt at a plateau from taking classes. I wasn't learning anything new and I was waiting for that push to move on to the next step. I was standing at a cross roads and I knew that the feeling I had was pulling me to make a choice. I leaned on Spirit quite heavily during this time of what to do next. So I did what I knew how to do best for myself...I meditated! During the meditation I had asked my guides to guide me on my next journey in the growth of becoming more connected. I set the intention to show me what it was that I needed to learn for my highest self. I also am the type of person that doesn't just take one sign as the gift that it is. I need Spirit to drill me in the forehead with the sign and have a big ah-ha moment to then say ohhhh this is what I need to do. I had that moment earlier in this year and had to learn some very hard lessons to get to the next level. I had a calling to use Tarot cards.
Fast forward to present day, I use my Tarot and Oracle cards like the air that I breathe. I love the messages that they bring and the way they can transform any piece of a story. Questions, answers, it's all so exciting! I have found a deep love and connection to my Tarot cards and I have Ericka and Spirit to thank for that. I have never been more grateful to have such gifted friends in my life. It is an absolute honour to be able to offer Tarot readings to my clients now. It's never too late to start something new, life is all about finding the joy in things.
